My Birthday! – 24 years and counting!
I’M 24 YEARS OLD TODAY!
It’s official: I’m the big 2-4. Sweet!! I know people say I’m still young… but I feel so old. Anyway, I’m just happy to be alive and I’m grateful to be surrounded by people who love me; every year, that number just grows. While I have no clue what my friends have planned tonight, I’m just looking forward to being in the company of my close circle of friends. I think birthdays are great because for that particular day, you really get a sense on how much you’re loved.
Ok, enough of that mushy crap… did I mention… Paris Hilton is in jail?!
While I don’t want to seem like I’m revelling in her misery, I do feel justice has been served. Especially to someone who has been so reckless. I hope this teaches everyone a lesson that no person is above the law, not even Ms. Hilton. I saw this article about her on TMZ.com which talked about her not being able to shave her legs. MTV Movies Awards – Sarah Silverman
I went to my friend Chris’house to watch the 2007 MTV Movie Awards hosted by Sarah Silverman. It was insanely funny and very controversial. She made reference to Paris Hilton and her voyage to jail. As the crowd applauded, the camera panned to Ms. Hilton sitting in the crowd. While she seemed to enjoy it at first, Sarah’s comments on Paris’ penis-painted jail bars didn’t sit too well with Ms. Hilton. See for yourself:
Ouch, but since I’m not a fan at all of Ms. Hilton, I won’t weep too much for the million dollar heiress. I’m happy Silverman roasted her, society needs to understand that she isn’t a role model for anyone. My biggest gripe her is that she flaunts sex, money, and irresponsibility and since she is a celebrity, she rarely has to suffer the consequences for her actions (like normal people would). Her reputation of being promiscuous and sleeping around sends the wrong image to young women. Consequences such as pregnancy and STDs are the outcomes of acting in that manner. With her going to jail, it serves as a lesson to others who idolize her. I’m 23 (24 this Tuesday, lol) and I see so many younger people trying to live the “Paris Hilton” lifestyle, well all I can tell you is: it’s not as glamorous as you may think and it’s not real life.
Well, now that I explained why I’m disgusted with Paris Hilton, it’s now time for a shameless plug for my friend’s site. Chris has a site dedicated to Sarah Silverman. New Blog! …….sweet
I finally have my own blog, a place where I can go to vent my frustrations on the world. I had my live journal blog and my most recent, myspace blog. But just like the Jeffersons, I’m movin on up. To the east side….. I’m finally going to get a piece of that pie.
Anyway, I used to blog all the time but after awhile I felt it become this inward narcissistic focus. Is my life that important to write about everyday? Well, as much as I love myself and what I do [buff nails on shirt], not everyone is going to share that same sentiment. So I’m going to put this platform to good use.
While this blog will focus on myself from time to time, I will focus on world issues and things happening to our society. Things such as Iraq, U.S. Politics, and other important issues. As well as stupid ones such as, Paris Hilton, The View, Paris Hilton, new gadgets, and Paris Hilton….. cause I blame her for most of society’s problems.
Btw, Mom and Dad got me her cologne for men called “Paris Hilton: Just Me… for men”. As I finished tearing off the wrapping paper I jumped for joy and held the box high up in the air screaming, “THANK YOU MOM AND DAD…. NOW I TOO CAN SMELL LIKE WHORE!” (Something I heard friend say when she got her perfume”. I guess it can work for guys too. When I sprayed it on myself, I had this sudden urge to grab my crotch and turn on my home-made camera…. I don’t know why.
Anyway, going to bed tonight to get up for church early tomorrow.
